Quick answers

Questions guests ask

Is there a hot tub?

No. Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center are both a short drive away.

What's the elevation?

About 8,000 feet. Drink plenty of water, take it easy the first day, and bring sunscreen.

Can we bring trucks and trailers?

Yes. The driveway fits multiple trucks with trailers, or park out front. OHVs must be trailered in and out, since riding on county roads here is illegal.

Are dogs welcome?

Up to 2 dogs, with a $75 pet fee per stay. There's a fenced dog area, a dog bed and food and water bowls.

When is check-in?

Self check-in with a door code any time after 4:00 pm. Checkout is by 10:00 am. Late arrivals are no problem, and early check-in is often possible if you ask.

How close is Highway 50?

A minute or two away, but the house is tucked in the trees, so it stays quiet and private.

Are hunters welcome?

Yes. Firearms must stay unloaded and stored in cases or locked in your vehicle, and may not be discharged on the property.

Do I need 4WD in winter?

A 4WD vehicle or snow tires and chains is strongly recommended. Check COtrip.org for Highway 50 conditions when it's snowing.
